Remove driver parameter:

This program “RemDrv.exe” is one step of removing driver procedure for LA viewer 1.58 and previous.

It can not remove driver, but remove parameter only.

In Windows95/98/ME/2000/XP, for really clear the effect of old LA driver, you have to launch it to remove parameter.

It is unnecessary for Windows NT. In LA viewer 1.58, you may find the USB interface driver at:

“Universal Serial BUS controller” (see Fig.1), and the PCI interface driver at “System devices” (see Fig.2).

It will be different place after LA viewer 1.58.

This program is for uninstalling all Acute device drivers when driver setup occours error, like as below:

Because there are old drivers and new drivers in your PC at the same time, all that

you must do is uninstalling all Acute drivers and reinstalling new driver in your PC.

According to the following step to remove driver:

  1. Close all unnecessary program.
  2. Insert Acute Installation disk into CD-ROM drive.
  3. Launch “RemDrv.exe” located in X:\LA directory, which X: means CD-ROM drive. (see Fig.3)
  4. Uninstall three kinds Acute deivice drivers USB, EPP, PCI by default, of course, you can select the item you want to remove.

  5. After click “OK” to remove driver parameter,
    “RemDrv.exe” will also prompt you to remove the old driver in “System Properties - Device Manager”
    and then restart the PC after you done it. (see Fig.4)

  6. Now, go into “Device Manager” (see Fig.1, 2) to find old Acute driver.
  7. Highlight it and click “Remove” button to uninstall the old driver completely. (see Fig.5)

  8. Restart your PC.
  9. Windows O/S will find a new device as fig.6, 7. Click “Next”.

  10. Choose “Search for the best driver for your device. (Recommended)” as fig.8, then click “Next”.

  11. Choose “CD-ROM drive” as fig.9 and click “Next”.

  12. System will find new driver as fig.10, 11. Then click “Next”.

  14. You may find “Acute PC-Based Instrument” in “System Properties - Device Manager” where the new driver located in. (see Fig.14)
