FYI, the MIL [Machine Intelligence Laboratory] 
was GREAT preperation for the "real world" of engineering.  
When I first got out here, I worked at Lockeed's Reseach Division with 
ALL Stanford PhDs.  Needless to say, I was intimitated.  But I quickly 
realized that I got a GREAT education at UF, and the most important part 
was the practical skills that I got while at MIL.  I was easily on par, 
and in many cases, better then, the engineers from Stanford.
