Dr. Arroyo and Dr. Schwartz,

I just wanted to say thank you for everything you two have taught me and invested in me as a student over the past couple of years. This week I accepted a position with XX as a XX Engineer. ... The job not only allows me the opportunity to use the skills I learned as your pupil, but also allows for travel ...

I would not have this job without the MIL. Even at one of my on-site interviews a man named XX, who will be my boss, told me as soon as he saw my resume had UF MIL on it he knew I'd be a good candidate for the job. He asked me if I had taken this supposedly difficult Microprocessors course under a Dr. Schwartz. I of course smiled and said not only did I take this course, I taught lab sections for it as well. He told me that people from UF, specifically from the MIL, (like a guy named XX) always exceed their expectations at TI.

...

Anyways, I don't start until July 7th, 2008 so this is of course in no way a good-bye e-mail. I just wanted to thank both of you as soon as I had officially accepted the position and let you know what a credit it is to both of you that people at these big companies know of the the MIL and speak very highly of those who have come out of it.
