Chromatic Trailblazer is an autonomous robot capable of tracking chromatic objects. He uses a wireless camera for tracking a colored ball. The robot transmits video to a stand-alone computer which then relays back information for finding the ball.

B.O. Bot is an autonomous odor detector and neutralizer. Its primary goal is to roam a room, searching for offensive odors and spraying chemicals to neutralize them.

Bender the Offender is an Automated Annoyance Robot that will roam around the room looking for 1 of two colors.  One color will scare him and he will attempt to get away from it, while another color will provoke him and cause him to shoot a projectile at the target before running away.

Keith Solberg

tennisfan is a Tennis Player’s best friend.  It will play as a ball machine on the endline of a tennis court, throwing balls to the other side for the player to return.  At the push of a remote button, tennisfan will navigate to the side of the court to get out of your way and, if desired, throw balls to you for play with a friend.

Traffic Flobot is the application of a design concept for multiple vehicle communication. He will follow a lead vehicle's brake lights. Traffic Flobot will intelligently decide whether to brake or pass the lead vehicle.

Weebo

Ryan Chilton

Weebo roams the house looking for lights that have been left on and, if no one is around, turns them off.  He also wakes up his owner in the morning with an alarm, makes sure he/she gets out of bed, turns on the lights, and displays the weather on the LCD screen. Security guard behavior is also included.

Reeb is an autonomous drink retriever.  It will move along a table top waiting for ordering customers.  When a customer places an order through the RFID ordering system, it will retrieve and deliver the drink from one of three drink stations located on the table.

Ouimet’s habitat is a miniaturized golf field. Once activated, she will search for a randomly placed ball. After that Ouimet will locate the hole with a flag and estimate the distance from its current position. She will align herself with the ball and the hole (Ouimet – ball – hole) and then putt the ball into the hole.

Cool Breeze is a firefighting robot.  He will navigate through a maze (to simulate a building with multiple rooms) looking for a fire.  Once the fire is located, it approaches the flame and extinguishes it using a CO2 system.
