Welcome to my neighborhood. I'm Michael, and I am an assistant professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Florida, home of the 1996 college football national champion Gators. In part, I assist in running the Machine Intelligence Laboratory, along with my colleagues, Antonio Arroyo and Eric Schwartz.

Before joining UF, I completed my Ph.D. in the Robotics Institute at Carnegie Mellon University, where I was advised in my work by Yangsheng Xu. My current research includes computer-vision and autonomy for Micro Air Vehicles (MAVs) and the brain-machine interface project.
