I hope you enjoy Sandwich: of a 9V battery. The battery powers not only the board, but two DC motors which turn the wheels. This robot also follows a line by using 4 light sensors. These light sensors can also be used to track a light, when you turn the switch on the robot over it will move to a different program that can track light. The motors on Sandwich are wired to only move forward, so the robot will every blue moon veer off of the track and need minor assistance on getting back in his appropriate place, which makes lots of fun watching. this robot cost about 60 dollars to build and gives me hours of fun, it should only take about 3 weeks straight to appropriately build. Building this robot taught me everything I need to know to start building robots. I strongly advise getting this book "Robot Building for Beginners" By David Cook. In it will teach you all that you need to know about small electronics and programming in PIC Basic. Now here are a few pictures of this robot I have built: |
